Awesome turn out and Response to the Academy Registration Day
It was amazing to see the great response and support from the community after The Joker Darts Academy and Information day yesterday. The day kicked off with an impromptu video call from Northern Irish star Josh rock who had just beaten Kyrystof Ratajski and rang to chat to John but got a good humoured surprise when he was congratulated by a room full of eager and delighted dart players. This set the tone for a good omen with the academy and a slight clue to things we in the works for the future of the academy.
The turn out saw all ages from 7 to 23 years attending and we were able to break the academy into the Joker Juniors ( age 11 or bellow or anyone not ready to throw to height and distance) who will attend 5pm to 6pm Monday's and Thursdays. The Joker Juniors will focus on counting, confidence, fun, technique, a healthy approach to competition darts and game etiquette. The Joker's Darts Academy has tailored games specific to keep this age group interested and motivated to improve in a happy progress at their own pace environment.
Anyone aged above the Joker Juniors will attend the academy Mondays and Thursdays 6pm to 8pm. This will be focused on game play, doubles, self improvement, averages and more. We will also focus on routes to play darts on different levels and the tools needed to achieve what you want from the game.
Everyone on the day yesterday got to try out all the new Target equipment we had 8 boards hung and the best of everything available from the Target Elite 1 programme. The Joker Academy dart shirt was unveiled and this will be given to every single member.
The Joker Academy has been supported to the highest level and the turn out yesterday means we can put everything into motion for the year with planned events and goals for the Academy to achieve moving forward.
